In a commitment to becoming a more caring and sustainable partner in the world, Davina’s Swim House has developed the DSH Cares program. Our goal is to support our team, our community and the environment with actionable projects that will make the world a better place.

The DSH Cares House

Based on the concept of our Swim House, we have developed the DSH Cares House with three main rooms in which we want to make a positive impact:

Family

In this room, we strive to make our home feel welcoming and safe to whoever comes in. Empowerment, learning, well-being and growth are things we want to share with our Family.

Our Family Room work areas are:

  • Education
  • DEI-Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • Mental Health

Community

In this room, we focus on the community that fuels DSH. We need to take care of our community as we want it to flourish with us. Care starts with one, and when we water it, it will grow.

Our Community Room work areas are:

  • Fuel the Community
  • Clean the Community
  • Give to the Community

Sustainability

In this room, we focus on sustainability. We want to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible and make our school an environmentally-friendly organization.

Our Sustainability Room work areas are:

  • Recycle
  • Efficiency
  • Think Forward

What does MAP & Work-Life Services Include?

Reasons to use the MAP include marital difficulties, parenting, stress, depression, work-related concerns, alcohol and drug use/abuse, grief and loss, or preventative. When members and family members call the MAP, they are offered face-to-face, telephonic, or virtual counseling sessions in which a thorough assessment can be conducted by a licensed, experienced clinician in their area. MAP is short-term, solution-focused therapy so not all issues will be resolved within the MAP model and may need to be referred to other resources.

  • 7 content divisions: Parenting, Aging, Balancing, Thriving, Living, Working, and International.
  • Monthly Online Seminars with certificates of completion,
  • Over 100 streaming audio files and 100 video files covering a range of health topics.
  • Free financial counseling appointments. Issues addressed include bankruptcy, budgeting, buying a home, college savings, retirement planning.
